Lauren and Alex are childhood friends who both grew up in Charlotte NC. For their first “real” date they went to Rehoboth Beach. Had a candlelight dinner on the boardwalk, followed by ice cream cones and moonlit stroll along the beach.
At one point, Alex pretended to push Lauren in the waves and as they tussled, Alex wrote in the “Alex Loves Lauren” in the sand. Growing up Lauren thought Alex was “friendly” but more “like a cousin to me.” Once we got older the first thing she noticed was his compassion and love for others. He was always a great friend to me as well. Our friendship blossomed from there and I’m grateful for it!
Alex’s first impressions of Lauren was that she was pretty, shy, and funny. He enjoyed watching her laugh, seeing her smile, and spending quality time with family. They have always enjoyed a light-hearted relationship, joking enjoyed around with each other. As they got older, his impressions changed that she was driven, focused, and full of life. I felt like we shared some common interests in traveling/living abroad and owning or own businesses. She was mature, stylish, and enjoyed having a good time!? And she was always smiling.
Their vineyard wedding at Raffaldini Vineyards & Winery was full of family and friends. Overcast clouds hung low, but made the sky blue, the grass burst, and the flowers bloom.
